Hiroshima Bunka Gakuen University is administrated by the educational foundation, Hiroshima Bunka Gakuen established in 1964. The university's motto is "Integration of THEORY with PRACTICE [kyuri-jissen]". It is created by Dr. Seiji Sakata, who is the headmaster of Hiroshima Bunka Gakuen, when he interpreted the great philosopher, G. W. Leibniz's "THEORIA CUM PRAXI". Kyuri-jissen means that "integration of theory with practice brings human growth and social development". Also, the great philosopher, M. Buber (1878-1965) 's "dialogue" has been taken into the attitude towards educational research, we follow the idea of " I-Thou" dialogue will frontier the world.
  In Faculty of Nursing and Graduate School of Nursing continue to pursue "nursing researches for people to live more healthy and prudent life". Now, it is necessary to advance abilities in nursing practice further to respond to dissemination of highly advanced health care and promotion of differentiation of health professional function due to integration of health care and welfare. Thus, including on conventional nursing researches, more international collaborative researches are needed. We hope to gain more knowledge for all the people to live more healthy and prudent life by international exchanges in the academic fields of nursing.
Hiroshima Bunka Gakuen University has been accredited
by Japan Institution Higher Education Evaluation in 2014.
